Upcoming Changes- New Deadline to Respond to the USPTO!

NEW DEADLINES TO RESPOND TO USPTO TRADEMARK OFFICE ACTIONS

Beginning on December 3, 2022, trademark applicants will have three months (with a possible three-month extension), instead of the current six months, to respond to office actions issued during the examination of a trademark application at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This change only applies to office actions issued on or after December 3, 2022.

The USPTO understands that some application issues are more complex and may require additional time to respond. Therefore, you can request a single three-month extension for a $125 fee. If the deadline is missed, the application will be abandoned.

At the end of the 48 hours, teams took to the national stage and pitched their idea to an audience and a panel of judges with one team winning $10k! Filming took place in Wichita, Kan. at GoCreate, a Koch Collaborative, as the venue partner. The 18,000-square foot state-of-the-art makerspace hosted the 48-hour collaborative inventor and maker challenge on the Wichita State University campus.
